Itinerary

Monday 26th Jan

You will need to get yourself to Edinburgh where you will be met before we drive to Aberdeen to catch our 7pm ferry to Lerwick. The ferry is an overnight crossing and incuded in the price will be accommodation in a twin bed cabin (outside facing with window) with ensuite bathroom. The ship has restaurants, bars and cinema.

Tuesday 27th Jan

We arrive in Lerwick at 7:30am and drive to our 5 star hostel. The day is spent enjoying the festival with activities taking place throughout the day. When it gets dark up to 1,000 'Vikings' parade through the streets carrying flaming torches and the galley which gets set alight at the end of the night. Parties often continue on until the following morning so be prepared to join in and forget about going to bed.

Wednesday 28th Jan

As it's unlikely you will have slept the night before, Wednesday is a day to take things easy and relax. For those that want to there will be the chance to explore the area in a little more detail.

Thursday 29th Jan

Our final day on the island is spent visiting more of the tourist sights and learning about the history of the island. We return to Lerwick in time to catch our 7:00pm ferry. Again twin bed ensuite cabins will be provided.

Friday 30th Jan

We arrive in Aberdeen at 7:00am and after breakfast you will be driven back to your pick up points in Edinburgh for your journey home.
